Janet Peralta Lucente earned her undergraduate degree
from University of Florida where she majored in
English. Thereafter, Janet attended the University of
Miami School of Law where she graduated cum laude
in 1997.
Janet began her legal career working in the field of
insurance subrogation representing major insurance
carriers. She also expanded on her legal experience by
practicing in the fields of appellate law, real estate,
family law, and corporate law. Janet joined Montero,
Finizio & Velasquez, P.A. in 1998 where she became the
senior trial associate and practiced in the areas of
personal injury, nursing home negligence, appellate law,
traumatic brain injury, and wrongful death. In 2003
Janet became a senior partner at the law firm of Montero
& Ochoa, P.A.
In 2007 Janet joined Winston & Clark, P.A. where she
continues to serve the needs of her clients and practice
in the areas of: traumatic brain injury, wrongful death,
premises liability, personal injury, and automobile
negligence. Janet has dedicated herself to serving her
clients personally and assisting them with all aspects
of their claims to ensure they receive adequate
compensation.
Janet’s professional affiliations include admission to
the Florida Bar, U.S. District Court for the Southern
District of Florida, and U.S. District Court for the
Middle District of Florida. She is also a member of the
American Bar Association, the Broward County Hispanic
Bar Association (Board member 2004-2006). Janet was
appointed by the Florida Bar to serve on the Florida
Rules of Civil Procedure Committee as well as the 17th
Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. Janet has served
as a board member of Youth Crime Watch of Broward County
and a mentor for Take Stock in Children a mentoring
program sponsored by the Broward County School Board.
She is fluent in Spanish. |
