On Wednesday afternoon, a car chase came to a crashing end when the mobile car wash truck the suspect drove crashed into a parked car head-on on North Miami Avenue.
The chase ended at Northeast 26th Street and North Miami Avenue, and left a huge mess for crews to clean up. According to Miami Fire Rescue and police, one witness noticed the man stealing the mobile car wash and pickup truck at Biscayne Boulevard and 29th Street. The witness followed the man and notified a Miami Fire Truck. Fire Lt. William Chapman stated, “I saw it hit five plus [cars], at least, over here, maybe more … he snaked back and forth across the road. If a kid were stepping out or something like that … that was the problem.”
The suspect is now in jail facing several charges.

A fire that broke out at a restaurant in Miami and took firefighters over two hours to battle, has officials suspicious of what caused it.
The incident occurred just after midnight at El Guireno Peruano Restaurant. Officials with Miami Fire Rescue stated that the fire is suspicious because this building has not had any recent activity.
The restaurant has been closed for nearly a month and all utilities, including power and gas, have been shut off since then. No major injuries were reported, but one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. The restaurant has been called a “total loss.”
